Welcome to Anu Ceremonies

My name is Trish Kinsella. I am the founder of Anu Ceremonies and am a celebrant and officiant for ceremonies of all kinds. I believe that ceremonies and rituals are vitally important for the human spirit. One of the hallmarks of pre-humans becoming human is evidence of ritual and ceremony - and so these are one of the defining aspects of being human. It is so important to us, as humans, to honour that.

And so, this is why I now offer you my celebrant services for your special ceremony, be it a wedding, baby naming ceremony, funeral, or any other occasion.

As humans we come together - family, friends and community - to acknowledge our interdependence and to share special occasions with each other.    We in Ireland have a strong and rich tradition of celebrating with each other. But unfortunately religions have tended to have a monopoly on these occasions up until now.   The only option people had was to either go through a religious ceremony they did not believe in, or forgo a ceremony at all.

Obviously neither of these options was really very good, and from talking to people I know that they weren't at all happy with this situation. This is why I set up Anu Ceremonies Celebrant Service: to provide an alternative to religious ceremonies. Whether you want spiritual-but-not-religious, or purely secular, I can help you to achieve that.

What do I offer as a celebrant?

I aim to offer alternative ceremonies so you can have your special day exactly as you want and deserve it to be, so it can be meaningful and memorable for you.

Anu Ceremonies Celebrant Service is about giving you the ritual and ceremony that's so important, without religion. I will create the perfect ceremony for you, and will be the celebrant for this ceremony to make it the most perfect and special day for you.

As you will see in the section on Ceremonies I can be your celebrant for many, many kinds of ceremonies and occasions: not only weddings, baby naming ceremonies and funerals as mentioned above, but also less common celebrations such as coming-of-age ceremonies, house blessings, divorce ceremonies and even pet funerals. All of these ceremonies are aimed at marking, honouring and celebrating the important milestones in your life.
